The Silent Battle Against Climate Change

According to new research by Crowther Lab of ETH Zurich, we need to plant 2.2 billion acres of trees if we want to combat climate change. Through machine learning and satellite imagery a scientist was able to capture that the Earth can support 10.9 billion acres of continuous tree cover. At the moment we only have 7 billion acres. 2.2 billion acres of the 10.9 billion acres is outside of areas used for human development such as urban and agricultural land.
While we all try to cut down by switching to a vegan life, it won’t be enough as the only effective way to stop climate change is to plant more and more magical carbon-sucking creations that are trees. To do our bit at Truly Experiences, we’ve partnered up with One Tree Planted. For every gift box purchased, a tree is planted. In 2019, One Tree Planted planted over 4 million trees – and they’re already set to plant 6.5 million more in 2020.
